Terminology, Divisions and Key Roles


The Under18 World


Definition 1

The Under18 World is a community of Under18s with our own Government, IAS, Corporate, singers, cricketers, artists, entrepreneurs, and many other career paths. It allows Under18s to explore real work, skills, and careers by doing things in real time.

Under18s work on real projects within a real company environment involving timelines, revenue generation, functioning teams, podcasts, events, competitions, partnerships, and many other opportunities.

Definition 2

The Under18 World is a private company that provides career and skill experiences to Under18s.

Every Under18 pays the company to be part of the ecosystem. Most Under18s access opportunities by paying a fee, while some leaders generate revenue, run operations, and take on leadership responsibilities as their way of paying the company and being part of the ecosystem.


U18 Leaders

U18 Leaders are Under18 politicians, IAS officers, Corporate leaders, committee members, and other leadership positions selected or elected to lead and organize events, competitions, projects, and opportunities.

Their efforts in running operations, generating revenue, and adding value to the ecosystem are their way of paying the company and being part of The Under18 World.


U18 Citizens

Every Under18 from Grade 4 to Grade 12 within a U18 School Constituency is called a U18 Citizen.

All bills passed in the U18 Assembly and Parliament impact U18 Citizens. They are eligible for applicable benefits, offers, partnerships, events, competitions, and opportunities created by the Government or Corporate divisions.

U18 Citizens may participate in events, competitions, and programs at a relatively lower cost compared to non-U18 Citizens.


Time Points

Time Points are reward points for work, learning, contribution, and impact within The Under18 World.

They may be considered while evaluating opportunities, offers, positions, benefits, and recognition within the ecosystem.

Time Points are not redeemable in the elder world and have no monetary value. They do not guarantee rewards or opportunities. Instead, they serve as a record of personal growth, effort, learning, and exploration of real-world careers and skills.


Democratic Election

A Democratic Election is a U18 election conducted within a U18 School Constituency.

The three political parties must be publicly announced, and equal opportunity must be provided for all interested Under18s to apply and participate.

Candidates must be given at least one opportunity to campaign before voting takes place through a ballot, EVM, or a similar voting process.

In time-sensitive situations where the complete process cannot be conducted, candidates may visit at least 60% of classes and participate in a hand-raise vote.

In extreme situations, a single nominated candidate may be approved after visiting at least 60% of classes and receiving less than 50% negative votes.

The process must be overseen by at least one U18 IAS Officer who collects and maintains proof of the election process. The final result must be documented and signed by the Principal or relevant authority.


U18 School Constituency

A U18 School Constituency is a school with:

  • One elected U18 MLA.

  • A minimum of three active U18 IAS Officers.

  • Official acceptance from the Principal or relevant authority to implement at least three out of five bills passed by the U18 Assembly and Parliament.

Term

The constitutional duration of an elected office.

Unless otherwise specified, the standard term is two years.

Tenure

The review period during which a leader must remain active and meet minimum requirements to continue holding a position.

Failure to meet requirements may result in the position being revoked unless a valid reason is approved by the relevant authority.


Divisions

U18 Government

The elected division of The Under18 World.

Government leaders represent U18 Citizens within their school constituencies. Their primary responsibility is to pass bills through the Assembly or Parliament that benefit U18 Citizens.

They should remain within two-click communication distance of any U18 Citizen and help share information about The Under18 World, events, opportunities, competitions, partnerships, and announcements.

The Government has three primary responsibilities:

a) Creating value for U18 Citizens through bills, partnerships, opportunities, and benefits.

b) Supporting revenue generation for the company.

c) Serving as exemplary U18 leaders by executing projects, events, competitions, and initiatives outside Assembly and Parliament sessions.


U18 Service Commission

The largest leadership division within The Under18 World.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Time Points records at school, city, state, and national levels.

  • Documenting everything happening within The Under18 World.

  • Ensuring fairness and reducing bias.

  • Supporting transparency and accountability.

  • Protecting the values, standards, and brand image of The Under18 World.

  • Being part of major Government activities, meetings, and discussions to ensure fairness in decision-making and execution.

Term: 2 years

Tenure: 2 months (renewable)

U18 Corporate Division

The business and operations division of The Under18 World.

Responsibilities

  • Generating revenue for the company.

  • Building partnerships and sponsorships.

  • Protecting the brand image of The Under18 World.

  • Maintaining systems, processes, and standards.

  • Providing quality control and feedback.

  • Supporting events, projects, and competitions.

  • Working with Government and Service Commission teams to identify revenue opportunities and improve execution.

  • Understanding and upholding the Constitution and U18 Memory Book.

Term: 2 years

Tenure: 3 months (renewable)

Key Roles

U18 Chief Minister

The highest elected leader in a state.

Responsibilities

  • Understand everything happening within the state, from policies to financial statements of projects and competitions.

  • Take responsibility for implementation of bills across schools.

  • Ensure minimum revenue generation targets are achieved.

  • Build national-level product, service, and strategic partnerships that create value for Under18s.

  • Ensure the activeness and effectiveness of MLAs, Ministers, and Clan Leaders.

  • Create opportunities such as podcasts, interactions, competitions, events, and career experiences for U18 Citizens.

  • Build and maintain a one-click communication community of all U18 Citizens in the state along with the Marketing Minister, Corporate Team, and assigned IAS Officers.

  • Understand and uphold the Constitution and U18 Memory Book.

Term: 2 years

Tenure: 3 months (renewable)

U18 Sports Minister

Responsibilities

  • Build partnerships with sports brands.

  • Develop relationships with sports leagues and sporting organizations.

  • Conduct sports competitions and sporting experiences for Under18s.

  • Create networking, learning, and participation opportunities for young athletes.

  • Build sports communities within the state.

  • Support revenue generation through sports initiatives.

Term: 2 years

Tenure: 2 months (renewable)

U18 Marketing Minister

Responsibilities

  • Build national and international brand partnerships that provide direct benefits to Under18s.

  • Support marketing partnerships and revenue generation.

  • Build and maintain a distribution and communication channel for U18 Citizens.

  • Work with Corporate and U22 teams on marketing initiatives.

  • Promote opportunities, events, competitions, and announcements across the ecosystem.

  • Support the operation of U18 marketing services and campaigns.

Term: 2 years

Tenure: 2 months (renewable)

U18 Cinematography, Arts and Entertainment Minister

Responsibilities

  • Create opportunities in film, arts, music, dance, entertainment, and content creation.

  • Organize competitions, workshops, interactions, and events.

  • Facilitate interactions with movie teams, creators, artists, and industry professionals.

  • Build communities of creators, actors, musicians, dancers, artists, and influencers.

  • Create learning, networking, and fun opportunities for creative Under18s.

  • Support revenue generation through creative and entertainment initiatives.

Term: 2 years

Tenure: 2 months (renewable)

U18 Governor

The guardian of fairness, rules, regulations, and constitutional values.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and uphold the Constitution.

  • Ensure fairness in decision-making.

  • Resolve disputes and constitutional concerns.

  • Protect the integrity of elections, appointments, and leadership processes.

  • Provide guidance based on rules, principles, common sense, and the best interests of The Under18 World.

Term: 2 years

Tenure: 6 months (renewable)

Ideal Situation: Tenure = Term.

Additional Ministries

States may create additional ministries and departments based on local needs and opportunities.

Examples may include:

  • Education Minister

  • Technology & AI Minister

  • Environment Minister

  • Health & Wellbeing Minister

  • Entrepreneurship Minister

  • Media Minister

  • Tourism Minister

  • Science & Innovation Minister

The responsibilities, targets, and structure of such ministries may be defined by the respective state government in alignment with the Constitution and values of The Under18 World.

Temporary MLA

A Temporary MLA is an interim MLA appointed when a democratic election cannot be conducted due to examinations, holidays, or other exceptional situations, but the addition of a School Constituency is necessary.

The Under18 must demonstrate leadership ability, positive attitude, understanding of The Under18 World, and proof of execution. They may be nominated by five Under18s or self-nominate, obtain approval from the Principal or relevant authority, and join a political party.

A democratic election must be conducted within 5 weeks of appointment, failing which the position automatically becomes null and void.

Temporary MLAs are not eligible for positions such as Chief Minister, Minister, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Leader of Opposition, Chief Whip, Committee Chair, or similar leadership roles.

Senior

A Senior is a U18 Leader with at least 18 months of tenure who remains active within The Under18 World and consistently demonstrates positive attitude, strong execution, reliability, alignment with U18 values, and a good understanding of the ecosystem.

A Senior is expected to have a strong attendance record, experience across multiple U18 projects, participation in at least one travel project, and a reputation for contributing more through action than discussion.

Seniors are considered part of the Corporate and Support System of The Under18 World. Based on the situation, they may officially operate, communicate, guide, and represent The Under18 World alongside elected and selected U18 leaders.
